Lisa Patricelli

Lisa Patricelli, Board Member

Lisa Patricelli, dedicated three decades to serving the wonderful community of Bellevue, WA, as a Law Enforcement Officer. My journey encompassed various roles, from being a Patrol Officer to a Motor Officer with no prior riding experience. Transitioning to the conceptual formation of School Resource Officer (SRO) services, I served on the National Association of School Resource Officers (NASRO) Board as a Regional Five-State Representative. Additionally, I played a key role in establishing the School Resource Officers Organizations in Washington and Oregon, while also contributing to local Salvation Army's Board.

Returning to the streets as a Lieutenant in Patrol, I witnessed a surge in physical and sexual assaults, leading my squad to devise innovative victim assistance strategies for those trafficked through online ads. Our efforts directly resulted in the recovery of a 14-year-old trafficking victim, featured in the documentary "I AM JANE DOE."

Elevated to supervise Fraud, Crime Prevention, and VICE detectives, I tackled the growing issue of human trafficking by joining the FBI's Children's Exploitation Task Force (CETF). In collaboration with the King County Sheriff’s Office and the FBI, I oversaw a nine-month VICE investigation, infiltrating a covert white-collar ring, trafficking victims outside the continental U.S. Using a City Civil Code, my VICE detectives and I successfully permanently closed multiple illegal massage parlors; some involved in human trafficking.

Advancing to the position of Captain of Investigations, I led a team of 33 detectives, overseeing complex cases and ensuring the safety of our community. Throughout my 30-year Law Enforcement career, I concurrently served 20 years as a Coast Guard Reserve Officer, retiring as a full Commander (O-5) in 2017. Notable deployments included Guantanamo Bay, the United Arab Emirates, and a distinguished tour at the Pentagon.
