Steps Toward Fighting Child Sex Trafficking

The first step toward fighting child sex trafficking and exploitation is making the community AWARE and providing accurate, factual information and local resources. Community members need to know the truth; it is happening now more than ever and awareness and education are the only direct path to prevention. Any chance to educate community members is an opportunity to prevent a child from being sold for sex.

The second step is to properly train and educate other organizations that already work with high risk populations such as foster care agencies, homeless shelters, schools, corrections, government agencies, local nonprofits, etc. This important step allows for the development of a continuum of care and collaboration within the community.
